Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Best pizza we've had in a while. Great flavor lite sauce. Nice n greasy just like its supposed to be. 1st timers today but we'll be back...for sure."
"Best super hot wings I've ever had! Not on the menu but house made special spice is the way to go! The guy sort of tried to talk me out of it, said it was something like or a ghost pepper. But when I heard house made I knew they were going for flavor over pain. When you order haha you can't eat it hot wings that's not good, but these had just the best heat flavor I ever had! I will mention this is a take out restaurant. There is a table inside but no AC and it was hot outside. What looks like a large dinning room is a smoke room and house preparation area for their signature items. I am sad we found this place right before we sail away. We are on a journey sailing Dragon's Lair a Catalina 470 from Florida to Wisconsin. I would love to try all their other signature items, but I feel fortunate to have tried their super hot wings. Maybe they can make their spice into a hot sauce I can buy someday! Not lieing the Earthy hot spice of those wings was just the best heat I can remember. It does build if you keep eating them, but also subsides if you take a break. Careful not to breath in while chewing too deep the spice is hotter on your throat than your tongue. Like I say it was flavor with heat. I would say it was somewhere between Jamaican jerk and Mexican earth spice, and beware I have a high tolerance for spice. I have in my old age decided that ghost peppers aren't worth it, and in saying that like I said he offered me warning. But I loved it, not lieing best wings I can remember!"
"Ordered from here for the first time tonight and I will never order from any other pizza place again. Not only is the food phenomenal and the price reasonable but the customer service was outstanding. Can’t believe I’ve never been here before this place is amazing."
"The food here is pretty good!! The food seems to be more quality and priced reasonably well then what you would get at other pizza places in Charlotte like Silvios Pizza... yuck!"
"Great pizza and sammies, friendly folk. They make their dough from scratch and can also make fresh bread with 1 day advance ordering. We will order from here again!"
"Ordered for the first time last week and there were pros and cons. The pizza was pretty good, we’d come back for that. We ordered boneless wings which, despite there being a lot, were pretty tiny and there were a lot of little baby crunchy pieces instead of actual hunks of chicken. The garlic bread was definitely the worst- it’s just a sub roll, which we knew, but it was served kinda like a sub (meaning like a closed sandwich) with some garlic/oil and a tinyyyyyy amount of cheese melted on the inside, instead of served open-faced with the cheese melted over it. It also wasn’t cut other than in half, so that could definitely use some revision. Otherwise we’ll come back again; probably try some other stuff on the menu. We definitely wanna support an up-and-coming local business!"
"Best sandwiches in town. Meatballs are stellar. Italian assorted is stellar. The bread is absolutely unbelievable. Wings are awesome. Everything is homemade. Owner always working, cooking. Friendly guy great food. Go give him your business, you won't regret it."
"I just moved back to the area after spending 23 years in Dallas and I am looking for my go-to pizza place/ Tried Benito's for the first time. Great pizza and wings. Family business. I will be back!"
